VOCATION PROMOTION
Vocation promotion within the Province Holy Brother Pedro de Betancur focuses on fostering an understanding of their charism and mission, which is centered around compassion, service, and a deep commitment to the spiritual and physical well-being of individuals, particularly the marginalized and underserved.
This vocation promotion effort involves several key components:
1. Awareness Campaigns: We often organize events and activities to raise awareness about their way of life and mission. These may include open houses, retreats, and vocation weekends where young people can experience the sisters’ life and ministry firsthand.
2. Personal Engagement: Sisters engage with youth and young adults through school visits, youth ministry programs, and social media outreach, inviting them to explore the possibility of a religious vocation. Personal testimonies and relational approaches help convey the joy and fulfillment of living a life dedicated to service.
3. Mentorship and Accompaniment: The Province emphasizes the importance of personal accompaniment. Sisters mentor those who express interest in religious life, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for discernment through prayer and reflection.
4. Formation Programs: For those who show a genuine interest, the Bethlemite Sisters offer formation programs that help deepen their spiritual life, theological understanding, and sense of community. These programs are essential in preparing potential candidates for their future roles within the congregation.
